In NSW primary schools, the study of a language is optional.
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.
Teachers visiting from Indonesia
Image: We welcome two amazing educators from Indonesia. This led to language lessons being presented to our students. When the teachers returned to Indonesia the connection continued with online discussions with their students in Indonesia. It was a worthwhile experience and we look forward to other experiences in the future.
